Grace

“Virtue coming from the Divine.

A disposition to or an act or instance of kindness and courtesy.

To confer honor or dignity on”

“I found a grace within myself that I did not know was missing.”

🧱HEALING PRINCIPLE #9 Gratitude & Grace

Grace Is the Gift Gratitude Brings

When we stop fighting the body, grace has room to enter.

There’s a mysterious, powerful moment that happens on the healing journey—when you stop asking your symptoms to go away and start asking what they’ve come to teach you.

For me, that moment came when I dropped the shame, the perfectionism, and the constant pressure to “fix” myself… and instead started listening. Not just with my ears or my mind—but with compassion.

That’s when grace showed up.

What Is Grace in the Healing Process?

Grace is that feeling when you finally exhale. When you stop judging yourself for being tired, or flaring, or falling behind.

It’s what arrives when you say:

“I may not be where I want to be yet, but I am here—and I am still worthy.”

Where gratitude invites perspective, grace offers peace. It’s not about doing more—it’s about being softer with yourself. Grace is understood as unearned divine favor or assistance, often seen as a special blessing. It can also mean to bestow honor or dignity. When you genuinely practice and embrace gratitude, you invite a sense of grace into your life. You bestow honor and dignity upon yourself.

🌺 THE HEALING SHIFT

When I was in a Crohn’s flare and trying to force healing—green juice, fasting, supplements, all the “right” things—I was exhausted and still inflamed.

The shift happened when I let go of the inner war and said:

“God, I’m open. I trust the process. I choose grace today.”

That very day, my symptoms didn’t disappear—but the panic did. The self-judgment quieted. I rested without guilt. That’s grace.

🌀CREATE THE HABIT

Start your morning with this whisper:

“I receive grace. I welcome peace. I will act from gratitude today.”

Place your hands over your heart. Stay in stillness for 3 minutes. Let your breath be the prayer.

📖JOURNAL PROMPT

Let the answers come gently. Don’t rush them. Just listen.

💜GRATITUDE EVERYDAY

Jot down 3 things you’re grateful for.

Today I am grateful for…
